Every engagement starts with a free 30-minute introductory call with Mique. If we're a fit, we schedule an on-site walkthrough and provide a written scoping proposal within 7–10 business days.

Do we need drawings or a designer before we call you?

No. Because we are a design-build firm, our architects, designers, and builders work under one roof. Most clients come to us with a wish list and a rough budget — we handle everything from there.

What does a custom home cost in Colorado?

For our market, custom homes typically start at $450 per square foot for a straightforward site and move into the $700–$900+ range for complex sites, high-performance envelopes, and specialty finishes. We publish detailed pricing bands on our pricing page.

How do you handle change orders?

We resolve as many decisions as possible during pre-construction so change orders are the exception, not the rule. When something does change, we issue a written change order with cost and schedule impact — nothing moves forward until you approve.

How long does a renovation take?

A kitchen or primary bath typically runs 10–16 weeks on site, plus 6–10 weeks of design and permitting beforehand. Whole-home renovations run 6–12 months. Every proposal includes a written schedule with milestone dates.

How long does a custom home take?

Plan on 12–20 months from contract signing to move-in for a custom home, depending on scope, site, and permitting jurisdiction. Complex mountain sites and historic districts sit at the higher end.

Design-build means one firm handles both the design and the construction of your project. You get one contract, one team, one point of accountability — and design decisions are made with real construction cost and schedule input from day one. Yes. We build offices, hospitality, retail, and mixed-use tenant improvements up to roughly 25,000 sf.

What kind of warranty do you offer?

Every project carries a 2-year workmanship warranty on our labor, plus a 10-year structural warranty. Manufacturer warranties on installed products pass through to you at closeout.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Designers Touch Etc. Inc. carries general liability and workers' compensation insurance, and holds active general contractor licensing in the jurisdictions we build in. Certificates are available on request.
